Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Niblr (“Niblr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Niblr mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you provide one, a display name. Authentication is handled by our backend provider, Supabase. We do not see or store your password in plain text.
Content you create
We store the content you add to Niblr — recipes, boards, meal plans, notes, nutrition targets, and any photos you attach. Most of this lives on your device; content tied to your account or that you choose to share is synced to our cloud so it’s available across your devices and to people you invite.
Content you import
When you use an AI feature — importing a recipe from a link, photo, or video, or asking the in-app assistant a question — the relevant content (for example, the web address, image, or message you provide) is sent to our backend and to our AI provider to generate a result. We use this only to provide the feature you asked for.
Information collected automatically
We collect the minimal technical information needed to operate the app reliably. Niblr does not include third-party advertising networks and does not track you across other apps or websites.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To create and secure your account and sync your data across devices;
- To power features you use, such as recipe import, the AI assistant, calorie and macro calculations, and shared boards;
- To respond to your support requests;
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.
3. Service providers
We share information with a small number of trusted providers only so they can perform services on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and storage (hosting your account and synced content).
- Google (Gemini API) — AI processing for recipe import and the in-app assistant.
These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing with other people
Niblr is private by default. Content only becomes visible to others when you explicitly share it — for example, by inviting someone to a shared board. You can stop sharing or remove members at any time.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your recipes and boards at any time in the app. To delete your account and the personal data associated with it, contact us at app.niblr@gmail.com and we will process your request.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections and database access rules that restrict data to its owner and invited members — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
Niblr is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at app.niblr@gmail.com.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, where our providers operate. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be highlighted in the app.
